can. However, it is a huge undertaking and requires a tremendous
commitment. Take inventory of the many things going on around
us and you would agree that the majority of society is headed
in different directions. The result is that the disproportionate

The Honolulu-Hawaii NAACP Branch was chartered in May 1960.
The mission of our branch is to "ensure the political, educational,
social, and economic equality of all persons and to eliminate
racial hatred and racial discrimination."
The NAACP has been leading the effort for social justice for
nearly 100 years. Founded in 1909, it is the oldest National
civil rights organization.
